  A close friend of mine had a work related kind of Christmas dinner party at the bistro. They served everyone chicken, which was red and not fully cooked. Everyone's was red and uncooked. People who can't cook safely should definitely not be working in any kitchen. Good coffee and musical performances is all its got. Nothing special at all. Straight trash

  We had dinner here this summer (2016), and the food was excellent, and the service was great. It's a humble little place that obviously gets a fair bit of tourist traffic, but they obviously manage very well. When we ate there, there was a wedding reception or something going on, but they still found a good place for my family of 5 to sit on their rear patio. It was a warm sunny day, but a rain storm blew in out of nowhere, and the waitresses did an excellent job of helping us avoid the worst of it while still enjoying our meals. I should also note that their prices were respectable, and I would eat there again instead of paying more to eat at one of the fancier joints in town.

  Used to be the best place to eat in Kaslo. Now it's absolutely disgusting. Not sure if management changed or what, but the potatoes were cold and covered in a chunky unappetizing "pesto". The eggs Benedict was smothered in a radioactive yellow "hollandaise". The eggs were extremely overcooked.. not even close to runny. The hard cold eggs sat atop a dry un-toasted English muffin. Service was the slowest I've ever experienced. 10 min just to get water. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here.
